I was going through Prague DP blog with my friend a while ago only to find out that I have a story to almost every photo here. Usually, the story is not related to the photo visually, but it happened at the similar time. Like this one which would lead to the search for Czech artists at Vysehrad cemetery (where I had never been before) and for cubist houses in Prague. All of this thanks to The Lone Beader :)...

The moon
2008-06-06 17:13:46
I liked the moon. And our little Eiffel tower. It almost doesn't look like there are lots of buildings around you and that you're just in the city center. One unrelated question: Have you seen the new Sex in the city movie? One unrelated info: This is what we're doing on Saturday. Sorry, no photo from Prague. But there may be a photo of Elvis :)...

After the rain summer is here
2008-06-04 16:10:00
One sign summer is here. It's almost midnight and there's constant buzz on the street. The last bunch of Americans were looking for a birthday-girl. She must live in the opposite building because they were shouting on her to come outside. Now, there is a young couple deciding where to go. You know, most of the pubs close at midnight and they have to go somewhere. (They don't know that there's a bar around the corner that is open till morning. But they're going to find a better place.) BTW, Americans, again. Interesting fact is that you meet lots of English and Americans at night while during the day you can meet only people from Eastern Europe, Italy, Russia and Japan in Prague.Question for all: If you can spend a month anywhere in Europe, where would it b...

Albert at Mustek metro station closes at 9 pm
2008-04-29 17:07:06
Albert grocery store at Mustek metro station. It closes at 9 pm. But it can easily happen that you stay in the line to the cashiers desk to half past nine. They are very very slow. Good thing is that they did a reconstruction of the whole store lately. It looks better now. Also, this is right in the middle of Wenceslas square. Only few meters under the ground....

Cafe No. 1 with a bit of Citibank
2008-04-15 17:49:47
Please, also notice chairs and tables outside. This means that winter is definitely over. The second sign of winter being over is the missing curtain (big, heavy and red) which was used to guard the entry to the Tesco grocery store from the outside cold weather....

Lots of development in Prague lately
2008-03-25 18:40:50
There have never been so much things being built in Prague as they are now. And prices of new flats are twice the prices that we had few years ago. I guess it's time to invest in countries such as Bulgaria now. Friend of mine has just bought two apartments here. He's great in investing his money :)I'll be out of Prague and internet connection for a few days. On the other hand I'll have a few rolls of Kodak Portra with me :)I'd also like to share a link to one wonderful blog called Lung S. Liu Journal.Have a great week!...

Absolutely ordinary building
2008-03-04 17:59:40
Nothing special to this building. Only that its windows reflect the sky extraordinary. So please imagine the red sunset sky in those windows. Black and white film just isn't the best to show colors :)Also, this is located on a way to the bus stop. Very useful when you hurry in the morning. You have all six mirror like windows for yourself so while you're walking along you can easily check and adjust your hair and clothes :)...

Here's another Theme day on the great City Daily Photo: Graffiti or street mural. So this is Prague's well known graffiti legal place in Tesnov near Florenc tram/bus/metro station (click on the picture to see it bigger). Friday night's post office queue
2008-02-29 15:41:08
Here you can clearly see who does taxes at the last moment. February would have ten more days and there will still be a queue of last-timers. On the other hand they all have three more hours to midnight so nothing to worry about. And yes, I stayed in this line today, too. Thanks God for nonstop post office....

Prague's (little) version of Eiffel tower
2008-02-25 17:01:35
Petrinska rozhledna/Petrin lookout tower is Prague's so called smaller version of Paris' Eiffel tower. It was build in 1891. When the weather is right you can see places in the Czech republic that are more than 100km far away. There's a grand view on Prague Castle as well :)The only drawback is that it is on the top of Petrin hill and you have to literally climb up here. But than again, there are those fabulous views on Prague during your climb. Here's a link to the real Eiffel tower at Paris DP....
