A nice thing to do whilst in Merida is to hire a mountain bike and go for a ride. We hired bikes for half a day from Fanny Tours. We got a lift half way up one of the roads that winded through the foot of the Andes.

Just returned from a fantastic weekend at The Green Man Festival in the Brecon beacons. Glanusk Park in Crickhowell was the location, a really picturesque spot for a festival, surrounded by Welsh mountains.

Also known as the pants ladies hostel this would have been an okay place to stay (its was fairly cheap), but purely based on the fact we were made to feel as we’d invited ourselves to stay round someones house and the owner struted around in her pants i’d give it a wide berth.......

Following the daughter of Casa Luisa owners, Carolina’s advice, we caught the bus to El Hatillo, a very colorful and pretty suburb of Caracas. Carolina shared a taxi with us to Caracas bus terminal and kindly accompanied us to the right bus which was headed for Maracay (6,000 Bv)

We have just got back from 3 nights camping at Tom’s Field Camping. Its a beautiful campsite in the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset. Its situated in the Pubeck hills about 3 miles from Swanage in the pretty village of Langton Matravers.

Just spent a great surfing weekend in Camelford (not toe), we stayed in a great campsite Kings Acre Touring Park, don’t let the name put you off, it’s a nice sized site in a lovely location.
